Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy covers the private tools Campbell Content Studio builds and uses for its own YouTube channels (Adam Campbell Cinema and The Grim Script): the Localization Tool and Daily Brief. Only the studio's owner uses them. They are not offered to the public, and no other person's data is collected.
YouTube API Services
Our tools use YouTube API Services. By using them, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy also applies.
What the Localization Tool accesses
The owner signs in with Google OAuth 2.0 as the owner of our own channels. The tool then:
- uploads subtitle files we wrote ourselves to our own videos (captions);
- adds translated titles and descriptions to our own videos and channel (localizations);
- reads our own channel and video details, and lists existing subtitle tracks, so it does not upload duplicates.
It does not access any other channel or user, search YouTube, upload or delete videos, or read comments or private messages.
What Daily Brief accesses
- Google Calendar (read-only): upcoming events for the owner's daily summary.
- Gmail (send-only): sends that summary to the owner.
- Google Drive (app-created files only): the summaries and notes the app itself made.
- YouTube Data API: public statistics for our own channels.
How data is used and shared
Data is used only for the purposes above. Calendar entries and the app's own documents are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to write the daily summary. Nothing is sold, used for advertising or shared with anyone else.
Storage and security
We store no YouTube data apart from our own subtitle and translation files. Sign-in tokens are kept only on the owner's computer, or as encrypted secrets, and are never published. Cookies are not used on this website or by the tools. Films on this website play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embeds, which load only when you press play. After that, YouTube may set cookies under the Google Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
The tools keep no YouTube data beyond our own subtitle and translation files, which we can delete at any time. Sign-in tokens are deleted from the owner's computer when access is revoked. To ask about or request deletion of any data, email adam@campbellcontentstudio.ca; we respond within 30 days.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page. Doing so stops the tools immediately.
